I have a new addiction. It's called Pinterest. It's dangerous.
It's super fun! I love it.
I wanted to redo a wall in my living room and got lots of ideas from this wonderful new website. And the cabinet is super special to me. It was my Grandma Lee's pantry. So, after months of finding pictures to use and repainting the cabinet (fyi - oil based paint from the 1950's is hard to cover or strip off) my fun new changes were done. I also painted my pantry door to match, whipped out some new valances, and got a great area rug. It feels like a whole new kitchen and great room. Love it!!
The whole corner.
The wall with old and new photos.

We love Easter! Any other year I am totally ready for it and it turns out to be a great holiday. With Easter being 2 days after Nati's birthday and us leaving for Spring Break 2 days after that, it was kind of crazy. We didn't color eggs until Saturday night after my moms Easter Party. I had good intentions of having a really good FHE lesson done to talk about it, but Jason & I ended up talking to them about the significance of the holiday while we colored eggs. There's always next year. We went to church then had dinner with Jason's family followed by playing at the park with the cousins. It was a good day!

Our little Miss Nati Beth turned 6 this last week. And what to joyous occassion it was. She has been so excited for her birthday. We had a princess tea party for her with her little friends. Some might say that I went a little overboard but in all honesty I used a lot of things from old YW activities. It's a good thing I kept it all:) The girls decorated little jewelry boxes with princess stickers then went over to the Pretty Princess Station to fill their boxes with a necklace, earrings, nail polish, hairs clips and elastics, bracelets, tiara and rings. They loved it!! Then we had our tea (pink lemonade) and sandwiches. It was a huge success and Nati even got me to dress up as well. I borrowed a dress & tiara from one of the YW and Nati loved it! I can't believe my baby is 6. I keep telling her to stop growing up but..... she doesn't seem to be listening. She got a new Barbi light up scooter, a new Belle dress, a toy dog that she can walk around on its leash and lots of fun toys. Basically, she got spoiled. We are so very blessed to have her and love every day with her. Happy Birthday my baby girl!

Beware!! We have a Bobcat in our house. It's scary, hairy and very dangerous. Haha - ok, it's just Braxton :) He FINALLY got his Bobcat award for Scouts. Yes, he turned 8 in October and should have received it in November but we were gone for that meeting, there wasn't a Pack Meeting in December, Nati's Dance Recital in January, no meeting in February, so this is the first chance we've had for him to get it. We had to come up with an Indian name for him. I chose "Chief Talks a Lot". Totally fitting. He wasn't quite sure about it but was a good sport. We are so excited for him to be in the Scouting program. He has done some very fun things so far and his leaders are wonderful. He's following his brothers footsteps towards getting his Eagle. Yeah Brax!!
