Hunger Games!!
Oh the excitement!! We have been waiting in complete anxiety for months for The Hunger Games movie to come out. Dylan enjoyed the books as much as I did and begged me to take him to the midnight release. I tried, a little late in the game, to get tickets to an earlier showing but.... no luck. It was tricky because it was Jason's birthday, and SEP's at the Junior High too. We got everything done including a birthday party and last minute "District 12" t-shirts, and I took Dylan and his friend Wyatt to wait in line at 5. They were fine with it until about 8:45 when I got several texts asking when I would be there to relieve them. Kelly, Amber and I got there at 9 and the two boys went to eat and chill out. We waited in line til about 10:30 when they let us into the theater. This wasn't the best thing because we were seated behind a couple of college girls that were begging for attention. Let's just say we won't forget that night any time soon. But the movie was great and I loved getting to take Dylan to his first midnight release. I just need to remember how tired I was for 2 days following before I agree to it again :) "May the odds be ever in your favor"

Vegas, baby!!
It was the annual Carter family retreat to Vegas for Nascar. Jason takes the boys with him to the race while Nati & I go shopping with the girls. We stay with Jason's brother and his wife in Vegas, where they have the perfect house for the kids - swimming pool, hot tub, tramp, basketball court and room enough for everyone. We certainly missed those who couldn't come this year. Nati loved the hot tub and told me that she swam across the river - which I'm guessing meant that she swam across the hot tub :) The weather was perfect and we had a great time!

Jesse and Melinda entered and won "The Mormon Bachelorette" contest and this was their reception. It was so great! All of the little girls had little white dresses on, the brothers had matching ties, and everyone looked great. Nati thought she was all that - posing for the camera and even looking for the photographer at times. Congrats to Jesse and Melinda!!

Watch him go!!
Our Braxton is one brave kid. Always ready to try anything that might break a bone or cause some type of damage. I think his mission in life is to give me a heart attack. This particular time of bravery was pretty simple for him. He put on some of his riding gear, sat on his snow board and let 'er rip down the stairs. The first few times were funny - I admit it. But then he hurt a certain area and he was done. But boy, oh boy, he had fun!
